Sorry, but there is no such thing as a healthy chocolate Tiffin recipe.

We love eating this chocolate fudge tray bake straight out of the fridge – hence the refrigerator cake name – and always make it for special occasions. It’s great to make when the family get together and it’s fantastic as a dessert option. It’s an amazing alternative to chocolate cake tray bakes.

It’s also lovely to bag up and give as a gift or make for a coffee morning or bake sale. Plus, it’s just so easy to make. It will last well in an airtight container, biscuit tin or back in the fridge and I haven’t met anyone yet who doesn’t like Tiffin.

You can easily make this into a Cadbury tiffin recipe by just using Dairy Milk Cadbury chocolate but even the cheapest of chocolate works well in this tiffin cake recipe – and you can even experiment with white or dark chocolate too!

Can you vary this recipe for Tiffin tray bake?

For this recipe we always use cheap chocolate as it always tastes great at the end anyway. But, you could use Cadbury Dairy Milk to make this a real Cadbury Tiffin recipe or any other favourite chocolate.

There really isn’t anything not to like when it comes to a home made simple Tiffin. It’s a glorious digestive biscuit fudge traybake and you can put pretty much anything into it! Dried fruit, raisins, broken up cookies, graham crackers, Rich Tea biscuits, dark chocolate, chocolate orange, chocolate truffles and anything else you can think of.

We tend to leave these tiffin tray bake recipes with just a plain chocolate top but you can always add seasonal chocolates if you wanted like Creme Eggs or Mini Eggs at Easter. Why not go and experiment and see what delicious chocolate Tiffin flavour combinations you can come up with. I’d love to hear about your creations.
