Does Petco count as a vet? ›

Operated by licensed and experienced veterinarians, Petco's full-service Vetco Total Care hospitals provide high quality, accessible veterinary care, with services ranging from routine preventive care to diagnostic workups, dental procedures and outpatient surgeries.

What types of small animals (non-dog and cat) do you treat? Services for small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, etc.) vary by location. Call your local Vetco Total Care animal hospital for details.

When you're ready to bring your dog in for a booster or a round of puppy shots, Petco is here to help. Find a vaccine clinic at a neighborhood Petco Pet Care Center or a full service Vetco Total Care near you.

You get 18 days per year, after you been there after 5, you get 20 days. This is only for full-time employees.

Any animal that is sick or injured must be isolated from other animals for treatment by the store's veterinarian as soon as possible. It is Petco's belief that all animals have intrinsic value and euthanasia is only pursued on the recommendation of the veterinarian overseeing the care of the animal.

The DHPP 5-in-1 vaccine is a single shot that is given to puppies in a series of injections starting at about 6 weeks of age and given every 2 to 4 weeks until the puppy is 16 weeks old. All adult dogs should receive a booster shot of the DHPP vaccine either yearly or every 3 years based on your vet's recommendation.
