Overview[]
Located directly on Ethiron's bedchamber, the Sleeping City is incredibly unstable, experiencing space-time distortions, along with frequent collapses. In order for the continued sleeping of Ethiron, a 9-fold ritual is done on his puppet, unfortunately, the last one failed.
Space-Time Distortions[]
Due to the instability of New Kyrsa, there is a hard-set timelimit displayed through the Old Diver's Watch within your inventory. Using the watch displays your remaining time.
- The timer starts at 16 minutes, yet visually appears at 15 minutes. Upon the timer reaching 0, the city experiences a distortion, looping you back to the start of the floor. This resets all progress done, along with stripping away any items or medallions found within the floor. However, the shrines will stay lit.
- If this timer reaches 0 three times, you die instantly. This gives you 48 minutes in order to complete the floor before instantly wiping.
- If all shrines are activated, this timer will stop, allowing you as long as you need to investigate the floor.
- After the Scion is defeated, another collapse will happen in 3 minutes. Failing to reach the escape point will slowly cover your screen in white before you die instantly after 5 seconds.
- Gaining a Resonance will save you, but your screen will stay as pure white, most likely killing you anyways.
Objectives[]
- Activate the 5 Obelisks before time collapses thrice.
- One is located in the Kyrsan Shrine of Arrival, which you automatically run into when entering the second floor.
- One is located inside of the Kyrsan Library on the set path to the city, in order to access the city and the obelisk, the sequence to get in is 1 2 1 2 2 2 1 2 3 1 4 2 3 1, with the numbers being each time you have to interact with a pillar.
- If you make a mistake in the sequence, you will be taken to the beginning of the labyrinth and the sequence of buttons will be reset.
- One is located inside the top floor of a building, accessed primarily through white particles on the top of a tower.
- One is located in the Sunken Railways, accessed through one of many broken sewer grates and navigating through it.
- One is located in the outside the city in an island locked behind a gate and guarded by eight Lost Divers.
- Head towards the giant red orb that was powered by the Obelisks, the door it was guarding is now open.
- Go down the path infront of the gate, careful not to fall into a void.
- Defeat Scion of Ethiron by completing the Nine-Fold ritual and damaging the puppet.
- Go back the way you came into a giant glowing light-hook to escape.
- Do note this is the only way to escape aside from using the Light Hook.

Secrets[]
- Within a building on the left in the center path to Ethiron, you may Interact with a panel in order to start a 3 Enemy wave, doing this rewards you with 5 Medallions. This may be done twice.
- If instead of jumping into the Library, you follow the glass, you will be greeted by a tower. Occasionally at the top of this tower there may be a Medallion Chest.
- On the top of a tall tower on the left side of the city, there are glowing white particles. Going in will lead you to Kaide, The Drowned Light, where you can then get lore.
Standard Medallion Chests[]
Large radiant pink chests spawn around the City and the Wilds, interacting with them will give you a random amount of medallions between 5-9. 6 spawn per run.
- There is one to the right of the first Obelisk.
- There is one in the tower near the Library.
- There are two per large building.
- On top of a metal plate near the tower obelisk location.
- On the edge of the city near the entrance.
- On the edge of the city near the Lost Divers.
- At the obelisk of the lost divers.
- At the edge of the city near a void near the lost divers.
- Near Misérables on top of a rock.
- On the top of large towers.
- Near Kaide, The Drowned Light.
- Near the library incredibly high.
Escaping Medallion Chests[]
During the Escape Sequence, 5-8 additional Medallion chests spawn around the city in differing locations to the first.
- To the Left of the city near a stone wall with two Kyrsgardes.
- Two may spawn per large building.
- Within the tower buildings 2 may spawn.
Loot Table[]
- Enchant Stone
- Weapons
- Deep Gems
Medallion Chest[]
- 5-9 Kyrsan Medallions
Boss Only[]
- Kyrsieger
- Railblade
- Gran Sudaruska
- All Lesser Relics + Spires
- Whistling Periapt
Tips[]
- The entire layout for this dungeon is entirely linear, you are always forced to get the Starting and Library lantern in that order (unless you have a skip), and the rest can be done with a linear path of Start -> Library -> Tower -> Sewer -> Lost Divers.
- Do NOT enter random buildings, as they may be a trap-room which will lead to a swift death.
- Sliding on ROBLOX Smooth Terrain is risky, and as such, should be done sparingly.
- Bring as many people as you wish, as the Scion's health does not increase proportionally to players.
Trivia[]
- The music for this area is Kyrie by Naktigonis.
- The combat music for this area is INSOMNIA by Naktigonis.
- Undying Flame, Gliders, Teleportation, and Mute all do not work in the Second Layer.
- Dimensional Travel will fling you the way you're facing if attempted to be used.
- Layer 2 Floor 2, New Kyrsa, appears to contain many references from the 2019 Indie game Risk Of Rain 2. Foremost, upon entering Floor 2, you are greeted In a dimly-lit stone-like room lined with marble shrines that encompass a grand stairway that leads upwards. This introduction has stark similarities to the entrance to the final stage of the game in Risk Of Rain 2, called Commencement on Petrichor V's moon. In addition, upon defeating Scion of Ethiron, both games fessature a two-minute timer as the entirety of Floor Two begins to collapse, similar to how Petrichor V's moon collapses once you defeat the final boss of the game, Mithrix, King of Nothing. Finally, your escape is littered with instakill-capable imploding explosions that function and sound the exact same as the ones seen in Commencement's escape sequence in addition to both containing swaths of enemies attempting to stop you, swiftly requiring you to reach a set point (Rescue ship for Risk of Rain 2, and the Light hook at the entrance of the city for Deepwoken) in order to survive the escape sequence.
