Major General Wesley E. Craig is The Adjutant General, Pennsylvania. He assumed the duties as the 51st Adjutant General of Pennsylvania and Commander, Pennsylvania National Guard on February 14, 2011, and was confirmed on May 3, 2011. In this state cabinet-level position headquartered at Fort Indiantown Gap, General Craig is responsible for command, control and supervision of National Guard units - Army and Air - allocated to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, six state-owned veterans' homes and programs for Pennsylvania's one million veterans.

General Craig graduated from Temple University Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program as a Distinguished Military Graduate in June 1968. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Transportation Corps and spent the next two years on active duty stationed in Virginia and Georgia. He joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 1971 and branch transferred to Armor and served for twenty of the next twenty two years in the 1st Squadron, 104th Armored Cavalry, ending his last four years with that unit as the Squadron Commander. General Craig transferred to the Headquarters of the 56th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, where he served for four years as Executive Officer and four years as Commanding Officer. The 56th Brigade received the Pennsylvania Governor's Meritorious Unit Citation during his time in command. The 56th Brigade was rated as the best in the entire Army National Guard and was selected as the only Stryker Brigade Combat Team in the entire National Guard. General Craig was transferred to the Headquarters of the 28th Infantry Division, (Mechanized). He served three years as Assistant Division Commander followed by three years as Commander. During his time as Commander, 28th Division mobilized and deployed over 8,000 Soldiers to the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo and to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Division Headquarters deployed to a multi-national training mission in Egypt known as "Bright Star" where General Craig commanded 14,000 troops from eight nations in this highly visible exercise. He also conducted command visitations to forces forward deployed in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan in 2003-2005.

General Craig retired in 2006, and continued to support the military services as a civilian. He served as Pennsylvania's State Chairman for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for three years, Chairman for the Liberty USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey for four years, and a member of the United States Army War College Foundation Board of Directors for six years. General Craig was recalled to active service as the Adjutant General of Pennsylvania in February 2011.
