Venetian Nail Spa, Katy, TX - Reviews, Ratings, Tips and Why You Should Go – Wanderlog (2024)

Reviews

Venetian Nail Spa in Telfair offers a mix of positive and negative experiences. While some customers praise the friendly staff, personalized service, and attention to detail by technicians like Judy and Mimi, others express disappointment with issues like allergic reactions to acrylic nails or dissatisfaction with the quality of work received. The salon is noted for its family-friendly atmosphere, variety of color options, complimentary drinks including white wine, student discounts, birthday discounts, and skilled technicians like Kim and Helen. Despite some complaints about pricing transparency and additional charges for services not clearly communicated upfront, many patrons appreciate the overall ambiance and care provided at Venetian Nail Spa.

The Venetian Nail Spa Team is already ready to finish your seasonal look with great nails!Manager Tom is always onsite making sure his clients and staff are happy, hydrated, and having fun. When you walk in, Evelyn greets you with such positivity it’s refreshing, especially on a rainy Friday evening.Today, Tom and Evelyn helped me get holiday ready by picking out “Nutcracker” by DND (just in time for the 2023 Nutcracker Market)Judy is efficient, detailed oriented, and gentle - never a cuticle cut or nick or a bubble in the polish. She always makes my favorite tea while my nails are soaking.Jimmy another amazing technician makes sure to stop by and ask about your family. It’s a family environment with great music and a ton of color options. If you want quality - Venetian Nail Spa in Telfair is where to go.

I really don’t like doing this but I got my nails done two weeks ago and I did acrylic instead of dip. I usually always do dip but the guy that did my nails convinced me to try acrylic. He was really nice and my overall experience was good and pleasant. Once I got home my fingers were red and felt hot so decided to take a Benadryl. The next morning my fingers looked worse so I went back and told them to take the nails off since my fingers felt painful and numb. I’m in no way shape or form saying it’s their fault that I had an allergic reaction. It’s the way they handled it I didn’t appreciate. They did not offer me a refund or to do my nails again, or at least offer me a discount. The manager asked me if I took benadryl prior to taking my nails off as if she was insisting that Benadryl would fix the issue. I’m disappointed because I actually liked the salon and was happy to finally find a place I could keep coming back to.

For my first time I thought it was going to be more up to date on the inside. They registered me but didn’t explain any sales or points system to me. Never told about pricing or never given a pricing sheet to see options until I went back up to see what they offered.Polish wall was not too appealing to me as the colors looked as if they had been sitting there for a while.I waited like 10-15 minutes before I was called up for a pedicure.Nail tech was nice and professional- she shows me the menu , did a great job there for I did leave a great tip .Then this other worker lady started to clean the other chairs and with the same rag cleaned my arm chair with the wet rag. I didn’t touch that side any more and just leaned over to the other side .Chairs were a bit torn and worn out in some corners.Greeters were nice to me but were not nice to each other. WiFi is not an Option there.I guess every nail tech has a small tackle box-case of their own tools.

This is the most expensive nail salon with the lowest quality of work I have ever been to. I paid $72 for these short bulky nails (I did not ask for the bulk. I like thin nails). I got them done less than 24 hours ago and they are already lifting. You can see in the pictures. There is bubbles in the paint & the tips are so uneven. They told me the nails alone were $50 and an extra $20 for the French tip because of how sloped it was. They also did not mention the extra cost while servicing me.There are so many other salons you could go to for this price and get much friendlier service.

Been coming here for 6 years now. Never disappointed the service is professional and friendly. I like Jimmy for nails he is very particular to make sure it’s perfect and Millie for pedicure is also brilliant. They offer you drinks and have massage chairs. They are great at making sure you are happy and are great if you need a repair. It’s a lovely salon with Televisions and great music.
